Welcome to Suikerbekkie – my small home baking business run from my kitchen in Heist-op-den-Berg.
My South African roots are woven into everything I make, along with a soft spot for proper, honest ingredients (real butter every time – nothing else quite gives that gentle richness). No packets, no ready mixes; it’s all put together from scratch, slowly and by hand.
I’ve always loved paying attention to the little details and doing things with real intention – after more than twenty years planning events, that’s probably why I started this little business in the first place.
Whether it’s a tray of something sweet, a jar of homemade granola, a breakfast or charcuterie box to start the day right, or some balloons and table touches to make a moment feel special, I love adding a bit of warmth and care to ordinary days and celebrations alike.
